Frequently asked questions

Why are gross and take-home pay different?
Take-home pay is gross pay minus social insurance contributions, income tax and local income tax.
Is the income tax amount exact?
No. The sample uses an illustrative withholding amount. Actual withholding depends on taxable pay, dependents and the National Tax Service table.
If my payslip differs, is it wrong?
Not necessarily. Reported remuneration, company allowances and rounding can differ. Ask your payroll contact to explain your own statement.
