Family and support relationship
Eligible family relationships and whether the insured worker supports the person must be established under the current rules. Relationship alone does not automatically confer dependent status.
Income conditions
The dependent’s overall income and certain income types are assessed against statutory thresholds. Business income can be especially important even when other income is modest.
Property conditions
Property tax base and income can be tested together. Passing an income check does not necessarily mean the property check is satisfied.
